Friday Links 6

Today I thought I would post some links for resources and applications I feel fellow artist/photographers would find useful. Here they are, in no particular order.

kuler: This is an Adobe site that allows artists to create and share palettes. So, if you need some color inspiration, check it out. Also, if you own any part Adobe Create Suites 2 or 3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), the benefits get better. I highly recommend it.

Jpeg Enhancer: I hate getting grain and noise in my photos. The jpeg format is notorious for this. This is a free program you can download that can take away some of that noise. It’s not perfect, but it still gets the job done.

Imagekind: Imagekind is a great site that allows you to sell your artwork with a free gallery. If you like it, you can become a paying member for a fee. You, as the artist, get your prints at cost. They also do framing and matting, and will ship to any address via FedEx. Oh, if you have a flickr account, you can integrate that as well. I just happen to have two free accounts, one regular and one through flickr.

As for the above picture, it’s so dead here at work. Feel free to download it as wall paper.
