Ten o’clock on Saturday morning rolled around and started my one hour of creativity. Picking a subject was the hardest part, but I decided to focus on a box of knitting heirlooms I received from my aunt. These supplies belonged to my grandmother and great-grandmother.
I started to shoot and got some nice shots, but nothing that really popped for me. I got the great idea of grabbing my extension tubes for some cheap-o macro photography. The shot I got above is one of my favorites of the day. The orange back ground is a large knitted swatch that was in the box.
I also photographed this Greek basil plant that I am struggling to keep alive. I also took this during my hour. The macro is grainy, but it turned out ok.
I got some nice shots from that hour, and even managed a couple of minutes of post-processing during that hour, too. My left shoulder was starting to hurt as I just had a cortisone shot in the joint there on Thursday.
I will keep this up to the best of my ability. It’s going to be struggle sometimes, but, like most muscles, your creativity “muscles” need to be exercised, too.
